Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

This Policy will be implemented by the Managers of Dark Knight Security Limited, who will make the necessary resources available to realise all corporate responsibilities. The responsibility for the performance to this policy rests with all employees throughout our business.

Our Principles:

We recognise that we must integrate our business values and operations to meet the expectations and interests of our stakeholders. This includes our customers, employees, regulators, investors, suppliers, the community and the environment. We believe in integrity, best practice maintenance, value for money, leading as a small business, impeccable customer service, protecting the environment and giving something back to our community.

We shall uphold the values of honesty, partnership and fairness in our relationships with stakeholders.
We recognise that our social, economic and environmental responsibilities to these stakeholders are integral to our business. We aim to demonstrate these responsibilities through our actions.
We shall ensure a high level of business performance while minimising and effectively managing risk.
We intend for this policy to reflect how we interact with our employees, customers, suppliers and local / national community.

Our Employees:

We shall continue to operate an equal opportunities policy for all present and potential future employees.
We shall continue to offer our employees clear and fair terms of employment and provide resources to enable their continual development – training and direction.
We shall continue to provide safeguards to ensure that all employees are treated with respect and without sexual, physical or mental harassment.
We shall continue to provide, and strive to maintain, a clean, healthy and safe working environment.
Our employees are aware of their legal responsibilities and they work competently and in the best interests of the customer to provide the service required.
In 2015 we intend to extend our security skill base and develop our engagement with them to facilitate opportunity for employee consultation and business involvement.

Our Customers:

At Dark Knight Security Limited we are committed to high quality customer service.
We pride ourselves on being honest, friendly and helpful – all terms for charging are given and agreed before any work is carried out and prior to payment and we work hard to give clear, practical advice to help our customers understand the work that needs to be done and we can confirm this in writing if required.
Our prices are all-inclusive for the work we agree to undertake – no hidden extras – we provide our customers with accurate information and advice to enable them to choose the work required.
We are flexible regarding dates and times for booking and completion and if additional work is required we let our customers know before commencing and give the opportunity to accept and agree a new completion time/date or decline and we always exercise the customer’s right to cancel
We shall continue to provide, and strive to maintain, a clean, healthy and safe working environment.
We employ a Complaints Process to reassure our customers that if, in the event we do not meet expectations, there is avenue to communicate and escalate complaints.
In 2015, we intend to introduce our first Customer Satisfaction Survey, to gain feedback to drive the improvements we will make in our business for the following year, 2016.

Our Suppliers:

Our contracts will clearly set out the agreed terms, conditions and the basis of our relationship.
We will operate in a way that safeguards against unfair business practices.
We shall encourage suppliers and contractors to adopt responsible business policies and practices for mutual benefit.
Our Community:
We know that as a business, we have an impact on our community, both positive and negative. We are working on the negatives and are proud of the positives, but in addition we will continue to strive hard to raise the profile of Dark Knight Security Limited and incite change for the better.

Community Involvement:

We believe in working to improve the quality of life for inhabitants of our community – it is for this reason we have pledged to work hard to protect the environment. However, we believe that impacting positively on our community is equally as important and so, we shall be open and honest in communicating our strategies to do so and in 2015 set targets and report on performance to our stakeholders in our continual commitment to sustainable development.
In addition, throughout 2015 we look to be supporting a local community initiative – a registered charity They also work to improve the local community. We intend to establish a framework to assess our business impact of this community involvement program in 2015.
